I just got back from a fantastic trip to Legoland, we finally got to see Star Wars Miniland. My family and I have been wanting to go since my son read about it in his Lego magazine. The thought of seeing a large scale Lego model of the Millennium Falcon and the clone turbo tank really excited us. We were smart to make Miniland our first stop once we got to Legoland because it got really crowded later in the day. I have to say Miniland exceeded all of our expectations, the level of detail was amazing.
There were seven scenes set up, six from the original Star Wars movies and one from the Clones Wars. I was going to arrange my pictures in the order the movies were made starting with Episode IV- A New Hope but in the end I decided to start with Episode I. (decisions, decisions I know)
Naboo Episode I- The Phantom Menace
The Gungan Grand Army
Geonosis Episode II- Attack of the Clones
Kashyyyk and Mustafar Episode III- Revenge of the sith
This Clone Turbo Tank is made of 10,180 Lego pieces and took 168 hours to build, Amazing. This was my favorite planet to look at.
I thought Mustafar was a little week, but in all fairness it’s pretty difficult to depict lava.
Tatooine Episode IV- A New Hope
It was beyond exciting to see the Millennium Falcon in such a large scale.
Hoth Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back
Close up shots of the ice planet.
Endor Episode VI- Return Of The Jedi
Christophosis The Clone Wars
There you have it Star Wars Miniland, the highlight of our trip. I’ll post more about Legoland in general and how I stayed mostly raw another time.
