Fall has made it to San Antonio at last, at least for today that is. It was so great to have the windows open this morning and to spend the day outside. It’s such a relief to actually feel a breeze especially after we suffered through a really, really hot summer. I started my morning off right by turning this beautiful pile of vegetables
into this delicious green juice and headed to the farmer’s market. It was fun to sit in the grass and people watch, then take our beautiful dog for a walk along the river. She just loves to be outside and around other dogs.
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of recipes for dehydrated zucchini chips and it’s made me crave them. Luckily zucchini is still in season and I was able to get some .
I’m playing around with a few different spice blends to see what works best. I rarely use my dehydrator and this is my first attempt at making chips. Unless you count the nasty sweet potato chips I tried make a few years ago, but I’d really like to forget about those. Hopefully these will come out flavorful and crunchy, it helps that I’m using a mandolin this time to get really thin slices. Not a bad start to vegan MoFo. I’m keeping this short today because I don’t want to spend any more time on the computer than I have to. Have a great day.
