On Friday I had the opportunity to visit the Witte Museum with a group of my blogger friends. I have been a member of the Witte Museum for many years and have taken my son there more time than I can count, but this was my first visit to the new South Texas Heritage Center.

As you enter the building you are greeted by this guy. He looks like a mannequin but his faces moves thanks to a projector and let me tell you his movements are very life like. It is a bit creepy but very cool.

There are many exhibits to look at as you move about the space. You and your children will get a history lesson while having fun.

View of the amphitheater.

After you experience all the history and read all the stories you have the opportunity to share your own story. It you have not gone to the South Texas Heritage Center at the Witte Museum now is your chance to go there for free.
I am hosting a very quick giveaway with a few of my fellow San Antonio bloggers. We are giving away (11) four packs of tickets to the Witte Museum that include admission to the Darwin exhibit. These tickets expire on September 2, 2012 so make sure you use them by then.
